Removed in 1970, it was set up for a short time in a Vermont residence before being relocated through the Organ Clearing House. It was rebuilt in 1975, with a new case and extensive tonal changes by the Stuart Organ Co., for the Byfield Parish Church in Byfield, Mass., where it served for a dozen years. In 1989, the Byfield church moved into a much larger build- ing, and the organ was relocated by Wissinger Organs to St. Louis-de-Gonzague church. The Flute Celeste was in conflict and has been tuned to the organ as a Dulciana. *nb The 16' Bourdon is the original pedal stop. I did not come to the fundamental pitch in the bottom 8 notes. The unit stop from the previous Laws Organ, playing at !6', 8' and 4' was thus retained by the Andover Organ Company, and switched via A/C power from three additional draws in the designated pedal division. The pipework for the unit stop is in the left chamber of the organ loft. The blower from the Laws organ, located in the church basement, winds that unit stop alone.
