2012-07-17 - Updated through online information from Michael L Bigelow. -- In the early 1980's the late Stephen Ridgley Whitehouse spotted this instrument in derelict but all original condition with all original pipes. It was in the basement of Daynes Music Company in Salt Lake City with no explanation of how it got there. Whitehouse purchased it for St. Mark's Cathedral where he served as organist, and enlisted Bigelow to restore it. The chest and bellows were restored. Later, circa 1995, a walnut base was added that included a new electric blower and wheels. The hand pumping mechanism remains intact. One can choose the electric blower or hand/foot pumping to wind the instrument. The Gothic style case is rosewood veneer. MLB July 2012 -Database Manager
