The correct entry for this organ, Estey Opus 1476, is listed in the database under First Baptist Church, Hope Valley, Rhode Island, its proper home. Hope Valley is 9 miles north of Hopkinton. The village of Ashaway is located within the town of Hopkinton. There are only two churches in Ashaway, the Catholic church, and the First Seventh Day Baptist Church of Hopkinton, an historic building physically located on 8 Church Street, Ashaway. This church contained a small two-manual circa 1872 E. & G.G. Hook & Hastings, second hand. The organ was replaced with an electronic imitation circa 1982 and was removed by Richard Hamar for a private individual living in Hope Valley. The organ was reportedly later destroyed by vandals. -Database Manager
