2005-09-09 - On-line update from Barry Bierwirth -- I visited the church in mid August, 2005. It had been restored in 2003 by a restorer from Iowa, I think it was. I had played the organ years ago and the key action was very noisy, the wind was poor, and the organ was out of tune. This time, several weeks ago, the action was beautifully quiet, it was in perfect tune even in the upper octaves on the 4' and 2' stops. It is used each week and appreciated by the people. Happily, they intend to keep the organ! The church is of brick, and sits along a small 2-lane road nearly in the cornfields, as is the case with many an Illinois rural church. -Database Manager
