In 1924, it was purchased by Trinity Lutheran Church in Gardnerville, Nevada. It was moved to their new building in 1953, and was replaced in 1965 by a new Schlicker 9-rank pipe organ. At that time it was sold to a member of the community who intended to build a pizza parlor and install the organ there. This never took place and the organ was sold to a Mr. Howard D. Bennett, a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Virginia City, Nevada who donated the organ to the church and installed it there in 1975. The first five pipes of the Great 8' Open Diapason Bass are stopped wood and are tubed- off to a toeboard outside the bass end of the swellbox. The next 19 pipes (6-24) are in the façade. The balance is unenclosed behind the façade. The bottom octave of the 8' Viola d'Gamba Bass is grooved to the 8' Liebl Gedackt Bass. Independent pipes begin at tenor C. The 16' Ped Bourdon has only 15 pipes operated by tubular-pneumatic action. Sources: Extant, relocated organ; JRS [Received from James R. Stettner 2012-06-26.]
