2007-02-19 - Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- The main organ is uniquely installed in a round "basket" (which looks much like a sugarless ice cream cone) suspended from the center of the roof of the circular 650-seat chapel. There is seating around the circumference of the chapel. The musician's gallery is at the "back" of the chapel over the entry doors. The console is in this gallery and is mounted to a turntable. The Choral, Choral Pedal, Continuo I, and Continuo II divisions are housed in the musician's gallery as well. The Choral & Choral Pedal are expresssive. The Continuo I and Continuo II are not. The organ was dedicated on Easter Sunday, April 1, 1971 by virtuoso Virgil Fox. -Database Manager
