2015-05-14 - Updated through online information from Jim Thompson. -- According to the church's history posted on its website, at some point during the service of Rector Rev William Wagner, Jr (1964-1978) "an electronic organ replaced the very old pipe organ" (no mention is made of a builder of either the pipe organ or the electronic instrument). This electronic organ was destroyed in the fire of 1989 which severely damaged the structure. The church was restored to its original design and the Wicks organ was installed in 1993 as part of the restoration. (http://www.stmarks-islip.org/index_files/Page426.htm) -Database Manager
