2007-09-22 - Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- This organ was originally built for the residence of Frank Taylor. It was relocated to St. Barnabas in 1985 through the generosity of Julie Merchant and other St. Barnabas patrons. The organ is located at the front of the chapel, which is the original carriage house. The open bays were enclosed with glass, and the original iron rings on the wall for tying-up the horses are still present. The organ has electric stop action with a combination action. The manual key action is mechanical, but the two Pedal ranks are on E-P action and unified to play at three pitches each. The Positif is immediately above the keydesk, and the non-expressive Recit is above the Positif. The Pedal is to the left. -Database Manager
