2004-10-30 - Uses 16 ranks from an 1881 Bergstrom organ, built for Taylor St. Methodist, Portland, OR which was later electrified at Willamette University, Salem, OR. Purchased and stored by Archdiocese of Portland. [Replaced a 2m. c. 1929 Kilgen, Op. 4119, model U3, rebuilt & enlarged by Bond c. 1983. Sanctuary and organ burned 1993.] -Database Manager

Incorporates 16 ranks of relatively untouched pipework from an 1880 organ built by John
Bergstrom for the First Methodist Church of Portland. 

The casework wood is quarter-sawn oak with a finish of stain, linseed oil, and wax, rubbed by hand.
Gilding is 24-carat German gold. Facade pipes are nearly 100% lead.
