2009-09-29 - Updated through on-line information from Will Dunklin. -- The Ellis Auditorium of the Cook Convention Center was razed ca. 2000. The 40 rank side was sold to Bartlett United Methodist Church. The 75 rank side was sold to an individual in California. It is currently under renovation by Marlin Mackly of Fenton Missouri. In its original installation, this organ was in nine chambers: four facing south and four facing north and a single "echo" chamber a the far end of the north side. All pipes were under expression. Of the 115 ranks, there was only one independent pedal stop, the 32' 16' 8' Bombarde. All other pedal stops were borrowed from the manuals. Wind pressures ranged up to 35 inches for the solo reeds. -Database Manager
2021-12-24 - Updated through online information from Adam Pajan, -- I am writing with an update for Kimball Op. 7035. There is some inaccurate information in the notes about the instrument. The North Hall organ was donated to St. Mark the Evangelist Catholic Church in Norman, Oklahoma in May 2014. After years of planning and fundraising, a contract has been signed with the Schantz Organ Company to renovate and install the majority of the instrument at St. Mark. The pedal originally had three independent stops, not one: a 16’ Open Diapason, a 16’ Subbass, and a unit 32’ Bombarde. -Jim Stettner
