When that church became redundant, the organ was purchased by Jeremy Cooper on speculation, and was removed to storage by him and a crew from the Organ Clearing House. After St. Andrew's had a fire on August 11, 1994 which destroyed their previous (and also second-hand) 1969 Detlef Kleuker pipe organ – they built a new edifice. The Cole & Woodberry was recommended to St. Andrew's by the OCH, and rebuilt for them by Jeremy Cooper. As originally built, the Cole & Woodberry was a 2-9. It has been substantially enlarged to almost three times its original size! The pedalboard, bench, and lower side panels are new; the originals having been lost long before. Jeremy Cooper added an extra 5-stop Pedal chest. The Swell 8' Trumpet was a gift from the builder. The façade pipes which had been mitred for the low ceiling in Hull, Mass. were straightened for the St. Andrew's installation, thus restoring the original appearance of the organ. The Great 8 ft. Open Diapason has its first 17 pipes en façade. The Swell 1' 22nd breaks-back at d# 52. The bottom 14 notes of the Swell 8 ft. Viola are outside the swellbox. The Great 8 ft. Open Diapason, 4 ft. Octave, the Swell 8 ft. Viola, and the couplers are the only remaining original engraved drawknob faces. The pedalboard has a manually activated Pedal Check which is a felted rail on hinges under the pedalboard. It must be raised into position by hand.
