2014-06-30 - Updated through online information from T. Daniel Hancock. -- The church has conducted its last services in the 1918 building June 1, 2014, and organ is reported to be for sale. According to the 10 February 1984 organ program, this organ was "purchased for the congregation with matching funds provided by the Carnegie Foundation and the Young Ladies' Aid of the church. The original cost was $2000. It was dedicated June 2, 1918, just eight months after the dedication of the current church building, which replaced the original Presbyterian church in Leon, built in 1872." . . . "This instrument . . . has served virtually uninterrupted and unaltered since its installation." A photograph from the 1982 OHS program reveals there are probably five fixed combination pedals and/or coupler reversibles. -Database Manager

2014-11-12 - Updated through online information from Ronald Gibson. -- Condition in late October, 2014, is probably reasonably good. Efforts towards a sale stalled. Not sure of the reasons rescue rejected, but storage might be an issue. Appears to have been adequately maintained. -Database Manager
