Notes

2004-10-30 - Status Note: There 1997 -Database Manager

2004-10-30 - Purchased from the Sesquicentennial Exposition in St. Louis and shipped to Philadelphia. All divisions enclosed. Instrument has suffered from neglect. In 1997 about 80% of the organ is working, but none of the pistons work. 1969 Hillgreen-Lane console. Organ needs re-leathering and new electro-pneumatic-action. -Database Manager

2005-06-23 - Organ renovation begun by Bruce Shultz and Assoc. Plans to replace chest action with electro-mechanical action; planned additions of pipework and electronic voices not carried out as of June 2005. Organ is in working condition. -Database Manager

2021-03-02 - Renovations carried out by Bruce Shultz and Assoc. in the early 2000s incuded a new console [by Robert Turner?] and installing electric magnet actions on the Moller toeboards, replacing the bottom boards with plywood; leaking air from bottom boards attempted to be sealed by application of silicone, without much reduction in air leakage or noise. Plans to move the Great chests out of the chambers and hung on walls, exposed, were not carried out. The organ is reported as nearly unplayable as of 2019 due to numerous dead notes. -Paul R. Marchesano

2021-09-09 - The organ is playable, and used daily. There are dead notes, notably in the Pedal. Only one stop is not playable (Solo flute 8'). -Nathan Knutson
