The position on the console confirms a Gamba as well since it is near the bottom. Viola d’Gamba is common on other Pilcher specifications of the era. Although the Trumpet drawknob is original to the instrument, its original position on the console is unknown. **Unfortunately, this drawknob was missing and the pipework could not be tested. Possibly an 8’ French Horn or an 8’ English Horn, as that would match other Pilcher specifications of the era. [Received from John J. Miller 2015-06-26.]
