2004-10-30 - Immediately behind the altar, with a screen and the choir also behind the altar. Contains a Nightingale stop, consisting of two pipes mounted upside down in a container of water. When the stop is activated, the pipes sound and the pitch is fluctuates according to the turbulence in the water. Originally to be placed in rear gallery, but redesigned for chancel after 1994 earthquake weakened the gallery. [Replaced a c. 1970 Sullivan & Sons.] -Database Manager
