2005-08-23 - Online update from Ric Martindale -- Instrument altered in 1962 by Schoenstein with Austin 3manual console added. Instrument completely renovated in 1995 by Rodgers/Walker. 4 manual digital console added. All new wind system, new direct electric chests for most of the organ. The chests for the 16s (Open Wood, Gamba, Diapason, Dulciana, Bombarde(Tuba), Bourdon) were all resealed & releathered and pneumatics left intact. 54 stops are pipe stops either by extension or duplexing. Reeds still in the instrument - SW, Trompette 8"/Clarion 4' - Hautbois 8'/ Bassoon 16' (TC) - PD, Bombarde 16' (Tuba). Old Blower in tower was removed and silent blowers added in each division. Swell shade motors replaced. 6 new ranks were added - built by Stinkens - some replacing deteriorated ranks - GT - 8', 4', 2' diapasons replaced, SW - 4' principle, CH - 4'principle/2'Octave, GT - 4' Hohl Flute - - - Other ranks that were removed were cut and revoiced to make new ranks - 4 unused ranks are still in storage. Instrument is still voiced at AA435, although with temperature fluctuation of the building it will go from 426 to 443. Original Chimes have been replaced with digital chimes. -Database Manager
