2015-08-16/2019-04-29 - From the OHS Database Builders Listing editor, December 2, 2016. - Begun as an adjunct to an organ builder in 1974 as Kimber-Allen, Inc, the firm was established as a separate business in 1979 in Johnson City, Tennessee. The name was changed to R.A. Colby in 1984. The firm began building complete organs as well as continuing to be a supplier of parts. They are frequently contracted to build new consoles.
