2004-10-30/2019-12-14 - From the OHS PC Database, derived from A Guide to North American Organbuilders, by David H. Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1991). — Rochester, New York, 1931. Patent #1,821,610; September 1, 1931; stop/coupler activator. Source: Information taken from the text of the United States patent listed above.
2025-04-24/2025-05-02 - The entry "Darrows, Donald S." in David Fox's Guide to North American Organbuilders, identical in both the 1991 and 1997 editions, is an error for Donald S. Barrows. U.S. patent 1,821,610, Fox's source for "Darrows, Donald S.," is correctly listed in Fox's entry "Barrows, Donald S." However, Fox's description of the patent in the erroneous "Darrows" entry, "stop/coupler activator," expresses ORGAN STOP OR COUPLER ACTUATING MEANS in the patent document more accurately than "pneumatic stop action" in the "Barrows" entry. See main entry: Donald S. Barrows. -Charles Eberline
