Notes

2004-10-30/2019-12-14 - From the OHS PC Database, derived from A Guide to North American Organbuilders, by David H. Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1991). — With Rudolph Wurlitzer Manufacturing Co.of North Tonawanda, New York, "long time;"1 active in Seattle, Washington, 1924, service. Source: [Diapason? ]2 Aug. 1924:28. Editor's Notes: Wurlitzer began manufacturing pipe organs in 1910 when it acquired the Hope-Jones firm, but it had merged with Eugene De Kleist's barrel organ firm of North Tonawanda in 1909, so that is the earliest possible start date for a Wurlitzer employee in that area. Fox's Guide gives the date and page number, but no periodical title. The Diapason is the most likely candidate, but this has not been confirmed.
