Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1991). - Franz [Frank J.] Abler was born November 2, 1846 in Prussia; he was the brother of Sophie Abler Odenbrett and a partner with his brother-in-law Philipp Odenbrett in Odenbrett & Abler of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, 1870-1885; after the partnership ended, he was an independent organ tuner and maintenance technician, 1886-1888; he became a city agent afterward.
