Source: Wurlitzer Co. letter. *The middle initial is "J" in Fox's Guide in both the 1991 and 1997 editions. Fox, in his book Robert Hope-Jones (Richmond: Organ Historical Society, 1992), 103-104, quotes a letter instigated by Hope-Jones and addressed to the Wurlitzer company, of which one of the signers is "Chester H. Beebe, secretary, National Association of Organists,â€? although page 271 has "Chester J. Beebe Director of the Hope-Jones Organ School of Brooklyn, New York, 1912.â€? Fox-s index lists him as Beebe, Chester H. The website http://composers-classical-music.com/b/BeebeChesterH.htm gives a biography of Chester Herbert Beebe that includes the information "1912 director of a theatre organist training school in Brooklyn.â€?
