2018-05-07/2019-11-05 - From the Builders editor, January 26, 2017. - Earle Warren Reed was born July 27, 1890 in Boylston, Massachusetts. He was the son of George Warren Reed, and grandson of Reuben Gaylord Reed. Earle Reed attended the Pratt Institute in New York where he studied applied electricity, a skill which allowed him to switch from building tracker organs to electro-pneumatic instruments. He worked with his father in Geo. W. Reed and Son until his father's death in 1915. He continued the business on his own until closing it around 1966. He continued doing some service work for a few years thereafter. Earle W. Reed died October 19,1972. Sources: Helen Boyle, great-granddaughter of Earl W. Reed. Ann M.
