2004-10-30/2020-02-02 - From the OHS PC Database, derived from A Guide to North American Organbuilders, by David H. Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1991). — Walter A. Verney was in Mason City, Iowa, 1901-1903, working as a carpenter; he was in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1904. He was back in Mason City, Iowa, in 1907 working with the Verney Organ Co. until 1909. [Presumed to be related to William C. Verney, owner of the firm, but not confirmed.] Source: Stopt Diapason #20 (Hoffman Estates, IL: Chicago-Midwest Chapter of the Organ Historical Society).
