Fox (Richmond, Va.: Organ Historical Society, 1991). - Frank Bowen of Boston, Massachusetts installed a Hutchings organ in San Francisco, California, c. 1906. Sources: Louis J. Schoenstein, Memoirs of a San Francisco Organ Builder (San Francisco: Cue Publications, 1977), 127. Elizabeth Towne Schmitt.   Editor's Note: The larger eastern firms such as George Hutchings and Hook & Hastings had their own dedicated installation teams who traveled to distant locations to set up new organs, smaller builders subcontracted the work to local craftsman such as the Schoenstein firm.
