2013-10-28 - Updated through online information from Richard C Greene. -- NOTE FROM MOIRA LEU OF THE CHURCH  I'm sorry to say the organ at First Unitarian Church of Des Moines was dismantled about five years ago. The pipes were sold to members of the church as a fundraiser for a capital campaign (not the reason the organ was dismantled :-) and now the pipes are pieces of artwork homes around the Des Moines area. The wooden organ "case" was gutted and is now used as a desk in the church foyer.<br>The organ hadn't been in use for many years due to the fact that we didn't have an organist and we use a grand piano to accompany our services. -Database Manager
