2011-01-29 - Updated through on-line information from Jeff Scofield. -- Combination described as 'absolute.' Replaced by an Allen in the early 1960's and stored briefly before being moved to Kirkwood Baptist Church, Atlanta, Georgia; the Kirkwood church closed in 1979 and the facilities were sold to Israel Missionary Baptist Church; the organ was used for a number of years more until it eventually became unplayable and the chambers were sealed; the console was seen in place during a 1999 visit and was in excellent condition, cosmetically; however, the choirloft flooring now completely covers the pedalboard and the console is only visible from the top row of toe studs up - very unique. The console sits front and center in silent splendour. -Database Manager
2018-06-23 - The church was the site of the funerals for Frederick Douglass in 1895 and Susann B. Anthony in 1906; the building was acquired by the Hochstein Music School in 1978. -Database Manager
