2007-03-08 - From Jeff Scofield to PIPORG-L, February 5, 2007: The 4/63 South Haven Casavant installed in Central Presbyterian Church, Rochester, New York, was removed from the church in the mid-1960's. After a short time in storage, it was sold to Kirkwood Baptist Church in SE Atlanta. In 1974, the church closed and was sold to Israel Missionary Baptist Church - now a congregation of over 4,000. IMBC used the organ in its services as long as the organ was reliable. Some time after it became unuseable, the chambers were sealed. They now use a Hammond and drums. However, the console is still front and center in the choirloft and in immaculate condition - not a speck of dust on it. Interestingly, the pedalboard was removed and that part of the pit below manual level was filled in and carpeted over. It makes an interesting sight. As far as I know, all 63 ranks are still in the sealed-up chamber. This was the status of the organ when I visited in June 1999. -Database Manager

2019-02-03 - The console has since been removed - it is not visible in current sanctuary photos. -Database Manager
