2022-09-15 - From *1992 OHS Handbook*: "...In 1892, the "present pipe organ was Installed through the work of a few Interested people ... Soon after this organ was installed, Miss Josie Shaw look lessons on it and became the regular organist of the Church, holding this position for over 50 years." The organ, listed by the Hooks as a "1-10", was built for the Baptist Church in Waterville, Maine; the Rev. M. Champlin signed the contract. The Waterville church subsequently bought a two-manual L. C. Harrison, Op. 1330, 1892, and the old organ became available for the Buckfield Church, which purchased it for $100." -Paul R. Marchesano
