2005-04-06 - Identified through a list of Pilcher organs typed by William E. Pilcher of Louisville. See the document referenced below. -Database Manager

2005-04-06 - from Presbyterian, Tuscaloosa, AL -Database Manager

2021-06-14 - Information from Becky Compton and Ellen Potts, Tuscaloosa First Presbyterian Church: In 1921 the First Presbyterian Church sold its Pilcher organ to Hunter Chapel AME Church, one of is neighboring churches. The Presbyterians were building a new structure on the old location, and they would install a new organ (a Wurlitzer) there in 1922. The name of the individual or company who moved the organ has not turned up in church records. There are other instances of Pilcher's Sons relocating some of their instruments in this area, so it was possibly done by the original builder. The organ was parted out at some point, but the original facade pipes remain in Hunter Chapel. -Jim Cook

2021-06-14 - I recently received new information from members of First Presbyterian Church, Tuscaloosa. Organ originally there, sold to Hunter Chapel in 1921. -Jim Cook
