2022-10-26 - Several stops of the original Pilcher were retained, but the organ was replaced by the Lewis Organ Company of Council Bluffs, IA. The Great pipework was supplied by a pipe-maker who often supplied pipes for Aeolian-Skinner. This instrument served the parish for many years. When the parish obtained the Casavant Organ from Benson Presbyterian (the Benson congregation was selling their building and the new owners had no use for the organ) the organ was gifted to Holy Family Catholic Church in Kansas City, MO. The current organ in St. Barnabas Catholic Church is a hybrid instrument consisting of the Phelps-era Casavant controlled by a three manual Rodgers console. The Swell is digital (from the Rodgers), the Great, Pedal and Choir/Positiv are Casavant. For more information on the Casavant, see https://pipeorgandatabase.org/organ/45919 -Fr. Robert Scheiblhofer
