2008-02-19 - Identified through on-line information from Phillip Warren. -- I was the organist at FPC Lincolnton from 1987 until 2005. The Pilcher Organ was rebuilt by Greenwood Organ Service of Charlotte NC in the early 1960's. At that time the original facade pipes were removed and placed behind a modern façade on a new wind chest. The original Pilcher Console was replaced with a Reisner Console. In 1987 the organ was again failing, and the organ was rebuilt and enlarged by Pipe Organ Sales and Service of Lithonia, Ga. The organ is now 13 ranks. -Database Manager

When I started as organist the spec was as above with a Resiner Console and the original pipe facade had been removed with the instrument enclosed behind a modern Screen. Only the Swell was under expression. [Received via e-mail from Phillip Warren February 19, 2008.]
