2005-04-07 - Identified through information in Vol V p. 16 of the Pilcher factory ledgers and a list of Pilcher organs typed by William E. Pilcher of Louisville. For more information see the document referenced below. -Database Manager
2018-12-08 - Updated by Rev. Alan D. Martin, D. Div., listing conversations with this person as the source of the information: Clarence W. Belcher, Bowie, TX, removed the organ from the old 1st Christian in the late 1950's. The new 1st Christian now located across from Midwestern (State) U. got a Conn organ; the Pilcher was parted out and the console was stolen out of the Belcher barn sometime in the 1970's. About 2014, Mr. Belcher passed away. In 2015, I helped clean out his 10,000 Sq. Ft. warehouse which contained about 8 sets of old organ pipes and a small, complete 1-manual pipe organ. No idea where it came from. The First Christian address above is the new church facility where they have a 4-manual Rodgers. The Pilcher instrument no longer exists. -Database Manager
