Notes

2005-04-07 - Identified through information in Vol V p. 33 of the Pilcher factory ledgers and a list of Pilcher organs typed by William E. Pilcher of Louisville. For more information see the document referenced below. -Database Manager

2018-12-08 - Updated by Alan Martin, naming this as the source of information: I know that a Wicks instrument was installed to replace the Pilcher. It may also have been in a newer church building. There is no record of the disposition of P. The Wicks was removed to a new sister church, Floral Heights Methodist, which still has it (maintained and used) is what is now their chapel. The Wicks (1st Methodist) was replaced by a Reuters organ in a new and larger building in 1928. The R. was rebuilt and enlarged (in the E. M. Skinner style) by Aeolian-Skinner in 1954 and has been rebuilt again..

I have been fortunate to be able to track the location and progress of several Estey organs and will see about providing that information later on. I truly appreciate your database and as a 76- year-old former organ tuner, much of this information brings back memories of instruments previously worked on, played or recorded. Thank you all for your efforts. -Database Manager
