2013-01-06 - Updated through online information from Scot Huntington. -- There exists in the rear gallery of this large granite church, an empty case with decorated dummy facade pipes. The case is large enough to have contained a small pipe organ, but the facade pipes are suspiciously short, so the entry stating this may have been a Vocalion reed organ could be correct. Up until the 1970s, there existed a large water tank in the tower which the priest in charge told me held the water used to power the bellows "for the old pipe organ". In the late 1990s, the church acquired a second-hand four-rank Moller Artiste unit organ (local, provenance unknown), which was crudely installed unencased in the rear gallery without its original Artiste cabinet. Further investigation is needed to confirm the status of this installation. -Database Manager
