2005-12-29 - Identified through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- This organ was originally built for the Grey Goose Theatre in Seattle and was a 2/6. The theatre later operated as the Beacon Hill. The organ was purchased from the theatre by Ted Webber of Port Angeles, Washington, and was set up in Mr. Webber's basement with only the main chest functioning - none of the toy counter operated. In 1967, the instrument was purchased by Neal Wood and installed in his parent's Ballard area home. According to Mr. Wood, "the ranks were: flute, violin, vox humana, trumpet, and diapason. It had a full toy counter, including a Wurlitzer xylophone and glockenspiel. It had one additional rank of tibias which was added by Mr. Webber." In 1978 the organ was purchased by Bert Lobberegt Jr. of Issaquah, Washington, who installed it in his residence. Here, it grew to 9 ranks. In September 2000, the organ was purchased by Russ & Jo Ann Evans of Kenmore WA. -Database Manager

It was removed in 19__. What involvement Balcom and Vaughan had with the instrument is not clear other than the nameplate on the console. It does not appear on the B&V opus list numerically or in the "classified" section under Theatres. The organ was purchased by Bert Lobberegt in 1978, and installed in his home by him. It was installed in the attic space over the living room which is where the console is located. It speaks into the living room through a covered grille in the ceiling. The organ has had ranks and chests from other sources added. Several of the 16' Pedal stops are either prepared for or may have been electronically generated tones. Two fairly large woofers are mounted in the wall of the pipe chamber over the Tibia. The organ was not playable during this author's examination of the organ in January, 1996. The sound effects include a cuckoo, a reiterating bell (like a phone), and a galaxon horn. Sources: Wicks opus list; PSTOS website; JRS; extant organ [Received from James R. Stettner 2012-05-10.]
