Notes

2006-05-01 - Identified through online information from William Barger, Barger & Nix. -- Rebuild and modification of Henry Pilcher's Sons opus 943. In this restoration/modernization project, we enclosed all of the organ behind new swell shutters except for the Great Principal 8'. This allowed more room in the very small chamber which allowed for additions. All of the original Pilcher pipes were retained except for the Great Open Diapason which had been so badly damaged by the former rebuilder that it was not economically feasable to salvage it. All of the added stops (Spitz Principal, Principal, Quint, Trumpet, Unda Maris) came from A. R. Schopp's Sons, Inc., Alliance, Ohio, except for the Unda Maris which came from an unknown older organ. The new Great Principal and case and case pipes were carefully made to be an exact match for the original pipes so the organ looks very much as it always has since it was new in 1917. -Database Manager
