Notes

2006-06-12 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- The organ is installed in a wide, shallow chamber than spans the full width of the rear gallery. While both Great and Swell are expressive, they have been placed on chests as independent divisions with some borrowing between divisions. There is room to place a dividing wall between the two halves if ever desired. -Database Manager

2021-03-26 - The organ has received a Peterson multi-level memory installed at an unknown date. New stop action magnets and new engraved stop tablets were included. This has slightly altered the stoplist as engraved, but no additions were made. The Fagott has been renamed Hautbois, but the construction is definitely Fagott. The Great 8'/4' Holz Gedeckt is now just Gedeckt. The Swell Plein Jeu no longer has a Roman numeral for the number of ranks. A few other stops are different. And the Pedal Hautbois (orig., Fagott) has been returned to 4' pitch. -Jim Stettner

NOTES
The church's first pipe organ was also a Balcom and Vaughan. It was destroyed with
the church in a fire on February 17, 1971.

The organ is installed in the rear gallery and is entirely chambered and expressive.
The organist faces across the gallery with their right side facing the chancel.

The Swell Spitz Gamba Celeste borrows notes 1-7 from the Rohr Flute. The Swell IV
Plein Jeu is borrowed from the Great IV Mixture an octave higher. Its top octave
breaks back. The top 7 notes of the Swell 1-1/3 Quint repeat pipes from the prev-
ious octave. The Swell Trompette is harmonic (@ f# 43) and has parallel shallots.
The top octave of the Swell 1' Rohr Flute repeats.

The Pedal IV Mixture is derived from the Great 4' Octave. The Pedal 16' Rohr Flute
borrows notes 1-12 of the Pedal 16' Subbass on soft wind, and the balance from the
Rohr Flute. The Pedal 8' Fagott was originally a 4' stop when the Fagott was added
after the original organ installation.
