Notes

2006-06-12 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- When Bethany Presbyterian moved to their new (and present) edifice in 1934, the Estey remained behind in the old building which was acquired by Central Church of Latter-day Saints. In 1965, Central L.D.S. moved to the Magnolia section of Seattle and became Magnolia 1st Ward. The Estey was moved, the primaries electrified, a new console added, and a new 8' Trumpet added to the Swell. This was by Balcom and Vaughan. That organ is extant. -Database Manager

The organ was a chamber installation with green and gold stencilled pipes
in the façade. This included the first 17 pipes of the Great 8' Open
Diapason. In 1945, Balcom and Vaughan releathered all the pneumatics. In
1965, Central LDS moved to the Magnolia section of Seattle and became
Magnolia 1st Ward. The organ was electrified, re-installed in side-by-side
chambers with a new console. A new 8' Trumpet was also added to the Swell
at that time. The primaries were releathered by Balcom and Vaughan in the
eary 1990s.
