2006-10-21 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- This was a conglomerate organ originally "built" (assembled) from existing components and pipes for the Seattle residence of C. E. "Sandy" Balcom. The console is an Estey console from a Portland, Oregon. theatre. The Pedal 16' Violone is clearly the bass from an upright Estey "Grand Minuette" of unknown provenance. The organ was moved to the chapel of University Temple United Methodist by Balcom and Vaughan in 1956. It was sold ca. 2000 to the Pipe Organ Foundation of Mercer Island, Washington for $2,000.00 and relocated to Covenant Presbyterian in Issaquah. In 2005, the POF relocated the organ from the old sanctuary to the new sanctuary and the organ will be augmented. -Database Manager
