2008-11-07 - Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- A pipe organ with some form of electric action still exists at this church behind a pipe fence facade that appears to be old. -Database Manager
2008-11-08 - Updated through online information from James R. Stettner. -- An e-mail from the present church organist revealed that the organ was a Bevington & Sons from England. It was destroyed in a fire in 1900 when an outbreak of bubonic plague appeared in an adjacent Chinese section of town, and authorities opted to burn contaminated items. Sparks from the fires ignited the wooden twin steeples, and all was destroyed except the exterior walls. -Database Manager
2021-02-09 - An article describing the fire set to burn out infected area of Chinatown of Bubonic Plague mentions the fine pipe organ, fine stained glass window and the only tower Chime in the area. The church building was destroyed and the congregation built a new building at another location which was dedicated in 1911. -Paul R. Marchesano
