The console is in fixed position, center - directly behind the communion table backdrop with the choir seated between the console and the chambers. The Balcom and Vaughan replaced a 1929, 21-rank Robert Morton dedicated January 19, 1930. It was that firm's last church instrument. The Balcom and Vaughan was contracted in March of 1976 with installation completed in March 1978. The specifications which were submitted in September 1975 were the collab- orative effort of Eugene M. Nye and William J. Bunch, President of Balcom and Vaughan. The organ was dedicated Sunday, April 6, 1978 at 4:00 p.m. with guest recitalist Adrienne Moran Reisner. At a later date, the two String/Celeste ranks were swapped between the Swell and Positiv.
