2007-03-19 - Identified through on-line information from James R. Stettner. -- This was the electrification with a new console of the existing 1917 Casavant Brothers tubular-pneumatic organ. No tonal changes were made. The new console has a 32-note pedalboard, but the Pedal registers only play for their original 30 notes. The couplers work on all 32 notes. Original chest compasses were 65 notes. And this, too, was retained. -Database Manager

It had two manuals, 13-ranks, and employed tubular-pneumatic key and stop action. The Guenther Organ Co. consisted of electrifying the original chests, and providing a new console with a slightly enlarged combination action, and almost full inter- and intra-divisional couplers (no Man. to Ped. 4' couplers). A former Gt. to Ped. reversible function was omitted. Sources: Balcom & Vaughan files; JRS; extant organ First Methodist Church Franklin Avenue Astoria, Oregon
