2012-10-07 - Updated through online information from Kurt Heyer. -- Moved to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Redford, Michigan in April 1999 by Phillip Robertson. The instrument was a basic Artiste - Gedeckt (97 pipes), Gemshorn (85 pipes), Principal 4' (73 pipes), Trumpet (73 pipes) all under expression with the addition of an exposed Principal 8' (73 pipes). When Good Shepherd congregation closed around 2007, the Southeast Michigan Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America gave the organ to St. James Lutheran Church, Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan for the cost of removal. The organ was removed and moved to St. James by Elgin Clingaman and Kurt Heyer of Renaissance Pipe Organ Company of Ann Arbor, Michigan. The bottom twelve notes of the Gemshorn and the 16' octave of the Gedackt (with its action) was used in the of Moller opus 8195 in the home of Kurt Heyer. The remaining pipes and actions are awaiting installation (scheduled for early 2013 by Renaissance Pipe Organ Company) at St. James Lutheran Church in an expansion/renovation project of Moller opus 10008. The console is in storage awaiting sale. -Database Manager
