Notes

2007-09-20 - Identified through online information from Stephen Hall. -- Six-rank organ by Wurlitzer combined with additional ranks and new three manual console by members of the Central Florida Theatre Organ Society. Tampa Theatre was built in 1926 and is on the National Register of Historic Places. The original 2/8 Style F Wurlitzer organ (1926, Op. 1429) was sold to Bayshore Baptist Church in Tampa, but the pipes and chests returned to the theatre when the church purchased a new organ. The organ was reinstalled with a new console and additional ranks by members of the Central Florida Theatre Organ Society. Members still maintain it and play regularly as part of events at the theatre. -Database Manager
