2007-10-24 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- This organ was originally built for First Baptist Church in Laurens, South Carolina. It seems likely that the organ was electrified in that location before finding its way to St. John's Lutheran. The Swell Salicional is controlled by a stoptab engraved 8' Open Diapason with a paper label. The 8' Vox Celeste also draws the 8' Salicional when registered. The Swell 4' Principal is a much newer stoptablet and may have ben made from the original Swell 8' Open Diapason. The Swell 2' Flautino is also a much newer stoptablet. Documented August 10, 1990. -Database Manager
2012-10-30 - Updated through online information from Lanny Hochhalter. -- Organ was indeed built by M.P. Moller. Windchests were membrane style. Hochhalter, Inc. parted out this instrument in 1994. Replaced by hybrid pipe/electronic combination instrument. -Database Manager
