Notes

2007-11-08 - Identified through online information from James R. Stettner. -- Originally built for Mt. Carmel Lutheran in Calumet, MI. In 1964, Mt. Carmel merged with Bethlehem Lutheran to form Faith Lutheran. The organ was relocated to the Dollar Bay, MI residence of former Mt. Carmel pastor, Rev. John Simonson. In 2001, the family donated the organ to the Keweenaw Heritage Center (formerly, St. Anne's) where it was temporarily erected in the chancel of the former church pending restoration of the rear gallery. It has since been relocated to the restored gallery and funds are presently being raised for the organ's restoration. Housed in a 3-sectional case with 25 facade pipes arranged: 5-15-5. -Database Manager
