Notes

2008-01-23 - Identified through on-line information from Philippe Beaudette. -- The organ was designed by Dr. Thomas Matthews (formerly of the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine and St. Luke's, Evanston and long time organist at Trinity). Combination action replaced 2007 by Roger Banks Pipe Organ Company with a Matters system. Organ console made moveable in 2007. -Database Manager

2008-08-13 - Updated through on-line information from Jeff Scofield. -- Console converted to SSL by Möller 1989, with new knobs. II Flute Celeste added to Antiphonal upon the death of longtime Organist/Choirmaster Thomas Matthews in 1999. One of the finest Möllers built, two of the organ's more noteworthy stops are the full-length 32' Bombarde and the very powerful Trompette Fanfare, mounted horizontally below the gallery window. -Database Manager

2009-05-11 - Updated through on-line information from Jeff Scofield. -Database Manager

2012-08-29 - Updated through online information from Harry Spring. -- The 2 rank Flute Celeste in the Antiphonal Division was installed in 1995 as a surprise birthday gift from Mrs. Matthews to Dr. Matthews. It was installed in 1995 with physical work on chests, winding, etc. by Mr. Philip Judkins, and pipe supply, voicing by Mr. Tom Farrell of San Antonio, TX. This work was done just prior to the regional AGO convention held in Tulsa in 1995. The stop was originally on a "Blank" drawknob on the Choir division which was not connected until just prior to the birthday celebration for Dr. Matthews. -Database Manager
