2013-08-16 - Updated through online information from john f. bicknell. -- [After some changes had been made], a very sympathetic restoration was done by Peters-Weiland of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Every effort was made to restore the organ to its original voicing and speech. The contract was signed in 1955, however do to the illness of the church's architect, the building was not finished to receive the organ until November 1957, when the organ arrived. The dedication was played by then organist George McClay in April of 1958. The Organ Faculty of Northwestern University including Barrett Spach and George McClay had initially met with G.Donald Harrison in 1954. Joseph Whiteford was in charge of the installation. -Database Manager
