Notes

2009-06-22 - Identified through information in List of More than 5200 Moller Pipe Organs (Hagerstown, Maryland. M. P. Möller, 1928). -Database Manager

2021-09-13 - The organ was replaced by a new Parsons instrument in 2000, which in turn was seriously damaged by fire on November 7, 2020. The church had downsized in 2019 by putting the building on the market and meeting in member's homes, and now following the fire, the landmark building has been abandoned and is for sale. -Scot Huntington

2022-02-27 - The contract was signed on Sept. 22, 1911, costing $3,000, and the organ was shipped on Jan. 9, 1912. Moller allowed $500 for the old organ. The new instrument had tubular-pneumatic action and a quartered oak case, but the contract doesn't specify whether the organ had a water motor or a blower. The church was heavily damaged by fire in November 2020, and the relatively new Parsons organ was also seriously damaged. The building was seriously underinsured, and the congregation which had been greatly reduced in numbers by the time of the fire, abandoned the once-grand building, meeting thereafter in people's homes. -Scot Huntington
