2009-07-11 - Identified through on-line information from Chad Boorsma. -- This was the first organ owned by the church, which was founded in 1867. The congregation didn't have much money, but the organ committee convinced the members that it was more important to buy an organ than a steeple and bell. The organ was dedicated on August 19, 1889 and was used until 1928 when it was replaced by an Austin organ. The Granville Wood and Son organ was sold to Henry Worley of Columbus, Ohio, who rebuilt the organ and placed it in St. Bavo Catholic Church in Mishawaka, Indiana. -Database Manager
